The Mistake Book

My "mistake book."
I went to DI and bought an old book. My water color teacher gave us the assignment to spend five minutes every day creating anything, and something or nothing in this used book. I found that by exploring just ONE thought every day, my ideas for bigger projects became much more profound.
Here are just a couple of pages of my doodles.

My first watercolors EVER. Embarrassing and gross but I guess it is always fun to look back and see progression.
We weren't supposed to spend more than five minutes on each sheet anyways. Is that a good excuse?

Color Me Mine

I have the greatest artsy friends. Even they are crazy enough three hours painting a dish that will probably just end up serving toast

OH boy.
This is my shout out to ALEX.

She is my roommate and the coolest girl/lady. She is so giving and talkative[the good kind. She tells good stories and dumb jokes :) ] and devoted and loving and she LOVES TO LAUGH! Watch any remotley funny movie with her and she will make you come away thinking it was the funniest movie ever! Did I mention she is beautiful!!?!? Believe it Alex you dummy.

This is our version of a fun winter activity.
Recipe for a good hearty laugh.
1.
Put on every scarf you own.
2.
Twirl around imitating a strange bird doing a mating call dance
3.
Then set yourself in a corner where you cannot get up without the help of a crane.

It worked for us. If is doesn't for you, its probably your fault

The three of us were homeless for Thanksgiving weekend but Normandie's mom was kind enough to let us join their family. It was a cozy day with good food. The green beans were delicious and the smell of spiced apple cider filled the house. I love the fall.
Two of my BEAUTIFUL sisters. We look enough alike right? Red head, a blonde and a brunette? Where is Norm?

When I came home for Christmas, I found out that my little brother turned into a stud.

Kelly came over and we made our traditional coveted by everyone chocolate peppermint stick cookie/cake/woopie pies. Can't you just see how happy this makes us?!

The indoor market in my little hippy town. The tomato basil soup and pumpkin bread is the best that I have EVER had. Mom and I get it every time. Except now Im allergic to tomatoes. But we will pretend I still eat it.
