A shout out to pen lovers

It is a lazy sunday afternoon and I just spent half of the time surfing the web to find this brand of pens that I really like.

No success!
I need your help!

It was an ink pen and the brand began with an "S." They come in great shades of green, light blue, dark blue, hott pink, red, orange and your standard black.

I am desperate.

My family and I spent fourth of July on the lake with the Novots and Motts

The kids have a creek by their house so every year we go and gather new rocks add them to our zen garden. This years addition included sea glass and a heart shaped rock. Last year, we spent five hours in the creek and the parents had to come find us. So much for me being the responsible adult figure designate to watch over them!
The whole crazy gang! Except mom is taking the picture and Jay, Lisa and Scott are still at school. But almost the whole gang!
Every time we get together, we crowd around the smallest table and play golf. It gets pretty heated from time to time. But only when we attempt John's strategy of taking the worst cards first and then realize that thats not a very good idea after all. :)
It was a gorgeous and sunny day. We deserved it after all the rain.
The girls and I shave our legs together every time we meet. The tradition started when Al was old enough to and we decided to shave together to invite her into the next stage of womanhood. haha
I know when I am going to hang out with them a week before when I start getting texts like, "don't forget the razor!" or, "ew my legs are nasty! Hurry up and get here!" Dang I love them.
A gathering is not complete without badminton! Notice the sparkley hats?

I love these dudes! We went into New York state and did a ropes course in the trees.

Back on the East Coast!

When arriving back in the Berkshires after a long absence, the first thing one must do is take a long drive through the countryside with the windows down and listen to some good tunes.
And this is just what we did.

I have to bribe Kiddo with food to join me on my escapades through the countryside.
There is nothing better than going barefoot in the summer. And look! GREEN GRASS!! I love the green. The west has been in a drought for way too long.
This is a cool shadow huh?

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday!
It feels good to be 20.

Surprise! I woke up to find this on the kitchen table! Hello bubbles and birthday cereal!
Alex, Clay and Kara took me out for lunch. I love Jason's Deli!
The love birds
The best part of the day was seeing this view. Who knew the west could get so green!

Breathtaking. If I could have my wish, I would sit on this mountain top and feel the sun and breeze forever.
This is the group playing our weekly game of SIGNS. It evolved into quite the contact sport. We broke a few chairs in the process.
The June Birthday girls in the city for the day! Anthropologie anyone? I think YES!

Picnicing in the Park

A big shout out to the grill masters for making our picnic complete!

Kevin did a great job fixing my hair for me.He soon learned that doing girl hair is much more complicated than it looks.

Boys and their food...gotta love it.
If You Give A Mouse A Cookie is a great book. Someone should write a sequel called, If You Give A Boy A Hamburger

The guys playing Twister

This is my ode to Kara. Kara is one of the most wonderful, caring and gorgeous girls I have ever met. She is a great listener, so talented, ridiculous and GORGEOUS. And I got to live with her! I don't what I would have done if I was never able to meet this girl. I am so glad I got to spend the summer with her before she gets married. YIKES! How exciting.
You are still mine though. :)

I had to put this is the ode to Kara because the handsome man to my left is Kara's awesome boyfriend. The guy to my left is also awesome. He fixes bikes and is very nice to me. Thanks Christian.

Being home on the East Coast is magnificent.
Being home without oil paints is torture.
I have therefore taken it upon myself to explore the arts in other such ways. My recent project has consisted of making little paintings with acrylic paint and making them into cards. Departure from my traditional oils is quite difficult but they do say that absence makes the heart grow fonder. Is this true? We will find out. Anyways, this new project gives me a chance to explore different compositions while not taking too much time on any one painting. I also decided my bed needed a little flair of color so I made a pillow for it. I could spend all my time doing little projects like this. Get excited because you will be seeing items such as these sold at my future cafe/gallery Tianellie's.
That is all.
Thank you.
